CLN Group had a target to plant 5,000 trees during the period 2019 to 2025 in order to mitigate the emissions of Greenhouse Gases. The response of the employees of the Group has been extraordinary, with the target being passed several years early. As at December 2021 CLN Group employees have planted more than 9,000 trees, with active participation in all the countries in which we operate. Several of our subsidiaries have expanded their initiatives to use not just space around the plants, but by becoming involved in voluntary tree planting in local community areas and forests. Even though the target has been achieved CLN will continue to promote tree planting as it not only helps the environment but also creates awareness of the whole environmental issue within our group. We hope therefore to have planted more than 10,000 trees by the end of 2022!
