Our Commitments to Social Responsibility initiatives
CLN Group supports the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and has expressed its intent to implement those principles. We are committed to making the UN Global Compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our Group, and to engaging in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.
CLN Group makes an annual submission of a Communication on Progress (COP) that describes our company’s efforts to implement the Ten Principles.
CLN Group supports the 1998 ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and commits to respect the principles concerning the fundamental rights which are the subject of the Conventions, namely:
- freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
- the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour;
- the effective abolition of child labour; and
- the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
CLN Group is committed to support the five core human rights treaties which make up The International Bill of Human Rights, which function to advance fundamental freedoms and to protect basic human rights of all people and sets out the basic rights all people should enjoy and expect from their governments.
CLN Group is committed to support the achievement of the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change which are to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change by keeping a global temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase even further to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
